Eric Prydz's name will forever be associated with bootylicious asses wrapped in Lycra, sexually suggestive aerobics and sweaty club nights. However, beyond "Call On Me", Prydz is a well-respected producer and one of the leading Electro House DJs on the scene. Unlike fellow Swede Basshunter, he has more to offer than computer-generated beats and music videos featuring scantily-clad ladies. Indeed, "Pjanoo" is an instrumental built, as its title suggests, around an insistent piano riff, culminating in a euphoric, head-bobbing delight. Scottish indie DJ Ross Paterson, best known for "Let's Flow" and self-proclaimed "Scotland's hottest export" has re-edited the source track, throwing in a curveball to include free flowing sax solos by horn freak Tom Kaye. The ingredients are mixed so well here - breaks, bass line and sexy sax - and produce such a classy tune that it has been featured extensively on runways during this year's Fashion Week in Milan. Always trust the DJ... |
