Hammond B3 Organ Jazz, Barbara Dennerlein and her drummer Marcel Gustke have some fun with the Rolling Stones monster hit "Satisfaction". Jimmy Smith also recorded this song, it is interesting to compare the two versions which are quite different. Barbara was less than a year old when the Stones had their first #1 in June 1965 with Satisfaction. This is a private video used with the artist's permission. Because there aren't a lot of close shots of her playing (watch other videos for that) I decided to have some fun with it and explore the theme of the song - using some public domain commercials from the 60's and a few youtube images to recreate a 60's feel. Because of the 100 mb limit I had to edit out a little bit - please have some fun, don't take it too seriously - if not, to quote Mick, "Hey you, get off of my cloud!" |
